Where Is It?

MMSI bases itself in the heart of Derbyshire, primarily at Repton School facilities.

New for 2022, MMSI has now decided to expand its camps and work across both Repton School and Repton Prep. The schools boast a wide and exciting range of facilities. Throughout the week, swimmers will be exposed to opportunities not only in the pool but also at other bespoke facilities including two indoor sports halls, a strength and conditioning suite, astroturf pitches, indoor and outdoor tennis courts and climbing walls. For our residential camps, we are also fortunate to stay in the schools boarding houses, which offer a ‘home from home’ for our swimmers and full board.

Timetable

An example of a typical weekly timetable that swimmers will be issued with before camp commences.

MEET THE MMSI FAMILY

One of our most anticipated activities on camp are our visits from Olympic swimmers. During these sessions the swimming superstars deliver a short presentation about their swimming journey and Q&A session, before taking photos and signing autographs for our swimmers.

We see everyone who has been involved in the swimming journey as part of our MMSI Family. Members of the MMSI family include: triple Olympic champion Adam Peaty, double Olympic gold medallist Rebecca Adlington, Olympic bronze medallist and former World Record Holder Joanne Jackson, Olympic gold medallist and British Record Holder Anna Hopkin and Olympic Bronze medallist Luke Greenbank.

The athletes attending our future camps will be unveiled prior to the camp start date. For a chance to meet some of our extended MMSI family, book your place now!

MEET THE MMSI TEAM

This residential swim camp promises to deliver an unforgettable week, one that will leave you with a lifetime of memories but more importantly make you more motivated.

Mel has put together an incredible team of coaches and MMSI staff to continue her legacy of making the swimming journey fun, to find out more you can meet the team here.

MEL MARSHALL MBE

MMSI Founder and Director

Double Olympian - 6x Commonwealth Medalist - UK Sport ECAP and Elite Coach Graduate - 4 x British Swimming Coach of the Year - 8 x Olympic Medallist Coach - BT Sports Lifetime Achievement Award Winner 2019 - Honorary Doctorate, Loughborough University - Charity Ambassador and Fundraiser, Sport in Action Zambia

20yrs experience in the sport at every level gives me a unique insight. This knowledge, I hope, will allow all of the swimmers to learn, be inspired, improve and enjoy a brilliant week. When looking at what is needed on the swimming journey it is a balance of challenge, support, enjoyment, education, inspiration and most importantly FUN. When I designed the week I took everything I have learnt on the swimming journey as both an athlete and coach. The week is fun packed but aimed to allow swimmers to grow through every experience. The residential part of the camp is aimed to feel like an Olympic Village experience, really embedding some of the necessary skills to thrive on the swimming journey. The brilliant MMSI team take you on a journey of a lifetime and swimmers will leave inspired, stronger and more confident as a swimmer and as a person.
